Naes Anaes

As Europe is hit by an avalanche of economic and social decay, A., a 40-year-old, London-based Greek is devastated by the impact of this end of an era on his personal life. Fired from the firm of consultants where he was pursuing a brilliant career and abandoned by his wife who takes their children and returns to Greece, he has nowhere to turn. Inexplicable suicides, old friends whose only concern is how to hide their own collapse from the others, some settings back in Athens which operate as if frozen in time and space...

In his desperate struggle to keep his head out of the water, it gradually dawns on him that the problem is not personal. He needs to join forces with the most unlikely persons: a mysterious, dynamic young Asian girl who works in London, a sensual Ethiopian woman on the verge of prostitution in Athens, his brother-in-law who has spent most of his adult life shut in his parents’ home. Their motives differ but their aim joins them: to stop this huge machine that threatens to destroy the world as we knew it along with their own prospects for a better life.
